It isn't just for drinking anymore. Or so says some.
In a recent issue of, yes you guessed it Popular Photography and Imaging (http://www.popphoto.com/article.asp?section_id=4&article_id=981&page_numbe r=1) there was a list of 50 cheap tricks to improve images. One of these was to keep a small bottle of cheap vodka in your bag.
The idea is that cheap vodka is so filtered that it makes a good lens cleaner. Now I have heard this twice before. And now it is in print:
6. Try mine, comrade Carry a small bottle of vodka: No, not to steady your nerves, but because it’s a great solvent for cleaning up smudged lenses and finders (but don’t use on color LCD monitors). The cheaper the better—cheap vodka is more highly filtered.
So the question is ... do any of you carrie a 40 of vodka in your bags? You know ... for the lenses. And stuff.
