...than the family and friend that I have been wearing out the subject with...

I'm scheduled for October 10th at 10am for my official grand opening with the chamber! yay!

I went and spoke w/ a local catering company and they were extremaly nice with letting me know know that a "barter" wasn't something they were interested in right now (as she showed me the 1,000's of pics they had) I tried shooting for the subject of wall prints but I just couldn't convince her it was something that she would need....*sigh*

BUT ANYWAYS.....she is going to give me a really good rate on a fruit, cheese and dips cascade.....cookies w/ my logo on them! and a really pretty 5 gallon jug (for lack of better words) of pink lemon aid w/ fruit floating. She is going to loan me a second one so that I can also provide mimosa's as well.

I'm so excited! Thank y'all for all the help you have so generously offered to me! I appreciate every bit of it! {{{{HUGS!}}}}

You do realize that you're going to need to take some time during this really busy and fabulous opening to take pictures, right? We will accept nothing less for payment on the advice you received.

Thought on the radio stations. See if one will bite on co-sponsoring a children's photo contest. Ask for a radio remote promotion, if they accept they will advertise it on the radio. Get a newspaper sponsor also so they can run a print ad. Try to build in other sponsors such as a local camera store to offer some free gift cards for prints, or maybe a P&S for the grand prize. Get as many sponsors as possible, with as many prizes as possible. Make it about the kids photography not yours.

Not only can you generate a buzz to make more people (parents & kids) aware of your business but media loves to do fun stuff for kids. Think it through, you might nail it although you're limited on time to build the excitement for kids to go shoot.
