Well, apart from the gnats, there was a lot about this week. There were however, several of these...

It was about 10-12 mm long.

Originally I thought I'd found one rolled up, but on closer examination. it doesn't look like it. Wish I'd have spent a bit more time on it now... :rolleyes:

these are ladybird larva, the last image is a ladybird pupa from which the final adult stage will emerge.

egg - larva - pupa - adult.

Good shots- looks like larva and pupa of a harlequin ladybird.

In all my years of living in the country, I've never seen a ladybird lava :oops:

Un' oi thought i wuz a country bor... ;)
