Hey, I was wondering what is the best IR filter to get for the Powershot Pro1?

Thanks

you mean filter, don't you. Lat I read, the lenses are not interchangeable on the Pro1.

Hoya r72 is a decent, innexpensive IR filter. However, as with the newest and more recent digital cameras, the chip has a filter built-in that blocks IR to help reduce noise. You will only get NIR (Near InfraRed) and even then, it will require some adjustment in photoshop before it looks decent.

I have written an article about this, in detail, and have since seen it published on multiple sites (yay me!!!) Here are links to the article and some example images I have taken with my G3.

Good luck. These are neat images, even though they are not true IR.
