Does anyone know any good tip to remove the grille ?
I tried the clone tool but the result is not very good.
Thanks.

It's pretty much impossible. A lot of cloning might yield something, but you'd have to be pretty darn good to set something that's actually worthwhile.
Next time push the lens right up to the fence if you can. If not, skip the picture.
It's a shame.

what I would do is finish the tree and lion and take out the background and switch it with something else

Wow, what a pisser, that would have been an outstanding photo too. You could always just say the kids set the print on the waffle iron or something like that.
I'd head back to the zoo with a big piece of meat and my camera and see if you couldn't just re-shoot it.
Cheers,

As Scottes said, Your best option is probably to go back and try to shoot it again. Get as close to the fence with lens as You can (within centimeters) and zoom as much as possible which will blur the fence so much You can't see it. If You can get close enough to the fence You can make it disappear completely from the photo.
These photos was shot using that technique

Get yourself to Western Plains Zoo in Australia.
There are NO fences to photograph through.

Thanks all.
A special thanks to kabz, but I tried myself the clone tool and was not very satisfied with the result. I thought may be there was another technique but it seems no.
Unfortunately if I try to shoot it again I will get the same result because there are 2 fences there... and what you see in the shot is the second fence.
So it seems the only remanining option is to visit the Western Plains Zoo in Australia
