My wife recently received a $500 Amazon gift certificate on her birthday. Because she had no interest in the internet or anything related to it, she believed that Amazon only sold books. I eplained to her that Amazon also sells photo equipment. She wasn't in the market for any books or for photo equipment, so she gave the gift certificate to me.
Sooner or later, someone is going to tell her that you can get almost anything you want from Amazon (including jewelry), and I'm going to be in big trouble. In the meantime, I have a new lens on the way from Amazon, and we're all very happy out here in the desert.
FWIW, I did take her to the jewelry store and we did spend a fair chunk of change on her birthday present, so she's not going to be too upset when she finally learns the truth about Amazon.

You can tell her how much the MKII costs but you opted for the "cheaper" one.
