Balcony Sunrise

Another reason to get up with the birds -- 5:50am on our balcony in Clear Water Bay, Hong Kong.

I'm not usually a big fan of sunrise/sunset shots but I guess it makes a difference if they're yours. :)

I'll have to admit that's not the view every day, but every once in a while it looks this good.

Hong Kong has a lot of high-rise buildings in the urban areas, but in the New Territories where we live the norm is three stories. This was shot from our second-floor balcony. The only person with a better view is the guy living upstairs -- but we all have to squint to see our "seaview."

Still, it's a rare day that I'm not glad to be living in Hong Kong -- and hope that everyone could be as happy in their own home and country.
