As the late September dogs are quickly disappearing, local action at the stock car tracks is also winding down, but still a few weekends left to catch some racing under the lights.
My media credential didn't allow me inside the track for some bizzaro reason, so had to shoot these through a hole in the fence, which was made more difficult by a rather large guy, who was a few hundred RPM's short of redline that kept shaking the fence.
It has been probably 3 plus decades since I was at this track, but I hope to return again, as theres some unfinished shots I wanna try and get, if I can get myself a better shooting location.

I really like these cars, as it reminds me of the way it used to be, before money took over racing.

Mini Stocks are always popular with the crowds at any track.

When is the last time you seen a Volvo on a stock car track? This car may be one of the straightest and cleanest cars at any local track.

Ever notice almost every car with a 3 on it at a stock car track is black.

The Canadian Vintage Modifieds provide some of the best racing on this 1/3 mile oval.

I doubt Nicorette woulda helped in this case.

Street Stock always provides bumper to bumper racing, as this picture illustrates.

Late Models are the feature class at most tracks, and are a seriously quick way around an oval.
If you get a chance, get your butt in a grandstand and watch a night at a local bullring. Never know, maybe the next superstar is learning his craft at a track near you.
