I was at the WTCC yesterday, as it would seem many others on here were also, im still learning the ropes as only been out a few times with my camera.

I was using a Canon 350D and a 70-300mm IS lens.

Any comments/tips much appreciated

nice clean shots, think I saw you at Druids at some point, not many people use the 70-300 IS as it doesn't have such a good rep with fast moving stuff.

the yellow Leon from inside Druids is bang on!

Considering your noob-ness with it all I'd say that's a pretty good job you've done there.

Tips? Practice. And then practice.

But you're heading the right way for sure.

These are very nice shots. As the previous poster said, practice makes perfect in this game. You are well on your way though.

Yea I was up there for a while, most people were more interested with the guy with the TV camera on that big arm thing, lol.

I couldn't really justify the sort of money for any other lenses (400mm L glass etc) to start out with as I would have had to spend somewhere around £1k to get something better than the 70-300 IS and the 200mm F4 L wouldn't have been long enough, but hey, maybe one day :(

The pics seem to be a lower quality since I have resized/uploaded them but you get the idea.

Thanks for the comments :)

Some nice shots there, the Yellow Leon & JT's Alfa being the 2 i'd pick out.

Keep on shooting & learning with what you have, it'll bring better results than just splashing out money on more kit :)
