Hi everyone.
Using a PC.
When I first started using lightroom 1.0. If i pressed the DEL key it would ask me if I wanted to delete the photo from the disk and LR, or just LR. Now it doesn't ask me. It just removes it from LR.
I want to delete it from the disk aswell. Anyone know why this has happened?
I read somewhere that upgrading to LR1.2 would allow it, but it still doesn't.
I don't mind if I get the message or not, but I do want to be able to delete of the disk from lightroom, preferably using the rejected flag.
Any ideas?
Cheers
Chris

My 1.2 does that just fine. As a matter of fact I just used it to that exactly that.

Are you in a collection? You can not delete from disk in a collection only in the folder view.

Yep! That was the problem....
So since I went through and marked the collection photos as rejected...is there anyway to now move those flags to the folder? Or do I have to go through them all again!?

The images will still be flagged as rejected in the folder view. Collections are merly a place holder for the "real" images in the folders. They are not new pictures or copies of the pictures. So you should be able to click on your root folder and filter by rejected flags only and see the images (do this if your collection spans across many folders).

One issue I had tho was the rejected flag does not transfer from collection view to folder view. Hence I now use coilour labels to select my images.

Yeah - I have them flagged in the Collection, and they defiantly are not flagged in the folder view.
Does anyone else have any input on this or should I spend an hour going through them again?
Cheers

Go back to collections, select all your flagged images, add a colour label, go to folders and the colour label selection should still be good.
