Ok so I just recently made my entry into the dSLR world, the only SLR I had before was a minolta with a 28-85mm lens. So....

I decided I wanted a tele and I bought a 75-300 III for $100. I know it isn't the best lens and I know it is not the same as the 70-200L; but hey, I am on a budget. Besides, I figure I could sell it again and recoup most of my money to put towards a better lens. As it stands the EFS 18-55 is my only other lens so this one seems decent to me.

The one thing that I truly understand now is the need for a monopod or IS with the long telephoto. Now I had best go play.

Of course this also applies to a telecaster, which is in everyway better than a stratocaster. ;-)

I'd be happy to own either one, but I'd never give up my Gibson 'Lucille' to get one.

I have a Jackson outcaster, a telecopy with a humbucker and a lipstick pickup. I think they only made them for a year, it is a decent looking guitar with none of the crazy shapes or sharp edges that Jackson is known for. The colour is a deep metallic purple that really shines under stage lighting.

Wonderful guitar to play and it seems everyone that has one, treasuers it -- I wonder why Jackson stopped making them.
