Never shot any kind of race (or really anything in motion for that part) tried to do some panning and to keep the Shutter Speeds low enough to get some prop blur C+C Welcome

I think you did very well for your first race. You used a slow enough shutter speed to blur the props, which is great. Good sharpness as well. I assume you used your Siggy 70-200mm lens?

yeah, shot them all with the Siggy, forgot to grab the 2x Tele from home, would have helped with some of the shots

I wanted to head down there, but had previous plans up in Los Angeles that day.

unless it involved a bunch of beautiful naked women, Id have blown them off! I really hope they make it back to SD next year, it was a phenominal race!

Yeah, I really hope they come back to San Diego too. A lot of my friends said they wanted to go too, somehow all but 1 backed out. Then they brushed it off saying "we'll definitely go next year". I don't think they realize that it is an international event with what, only 2 races in the US? San Francisco was lucky enough to get them twice, so hopefully San Diego will too.

I went too and it was great. If they are there next year everyone should get out there. It's a great chance for some real nice shots. My shots didn't come out as great but it was good practice.
