Hi everyone! I'm new around here. Name is Alfredo, but am called Fro for short due to my hair....:) I just wanted to post a few photos i took, although they were taken with a "point and shoot" kodak dx7630 (this was before I got my 400d). I haven't gotten too much time to play with the canon so this is what i have for now... oh and alot of the photo's i take are long exposures( i'm just barley getting into portraits) Please C & C.....

I jumped into this one for the last part of the exposure

I love the gradient sky effect on the last one, really nice mauve/purple. I your Mom's house too, I think it would look really good shot in daylight, maybe a little saturated late evening, it looks just like american houses in movies and stuff.

The shot of the city needs some straightening out (all the buildings/poles are tilted). I like the house shot as well. The last shot is fantastic, although I'd try to clone out that thing at the top right. Welcome!

thanks everyone! I really appreciate everyone's opinion! To Bryan: The thing on the top of the last photo is a gutter. I know it would look tons better without it, but I hate to admit that I prefer not to photoshop or alter photos, I know it's a bad habit, but I will overcome it someday!

I understand your desire to keep the image "as is" and I feel the same, but also feel that something like removing that gutter does does not destroy the integrity of the image and definitely improves it. This would be extremely easy to clone out. :)

I agree, I was just saying that I guess it was a phase or something that I was going through.... If it is an easy fix, I tend to do it now. I just believe that we should all shoot without the intention of saying, "ah well I'll fix iit later" ya know what I mean?;)
