I took my kids out to a little lake near our house. It's neat to see the signs of fall. The shorebirds are starting to show up, as are RWBB's and some other bird species.

As always, the lake's resident Canada geese and mallard population was there looking for a handout. Today is the first time I have ever brought some bread for them. The kids loved it!!! The geese were taking bread from their hands. It didn't phase either of them. They made me promise we could do it again tomorrow!

Lots of birds around us. The 300 w/ the Tcon was actually too much. Lots of clipped wings, heads, etc. I'm was pleased with the AI Servo after some initial skepticism.

40D and Canon 300 f/4 IS and 1.4 Tcon.

I have no idea what type of gull this is. My bird book did nothing but confuse me more. It was neat to see that he was double banded!!!

Great series Mike...all so nice & sharp. The IF shot of the gull is my favourite as all the attention goes right to the eye.
