View Full Version : Belgian GP - overdue but please do look

Hi all,

I managed to get to the Belgian GP this year. For once the weather was actually sunny all weekend....go figure.

The normal crowds were there so no real opportunity to vary the location. It was very much a case of find, sit and stay each day.

So here are a few of my efforts. All taken with a 20D 70-200 f2.8 LIS & 2x. Would love to hear your comments.

No 4 for me as it tells a bit more of a story and gives you an idea where it was taken.

Yeah that is the biggest problem with GPs these days. It is sooooo hard to get an angle that tells a story and doesn't have a fence in the way :-)

You can get some nice reportage shots, but that is not what i wanted to do - I was all for the cars. I leave reportage for city walks !!

Very nice shots. I like the movement action, and some are very "arty" rather than just a plain side on panning shot.

I agree. Something about the blur and the chrome paint on the McLaren. :) Looks surreal.

Seen ALOT of car photos, as that's what I do for a living, and those are among the best I've seen. Great movement!

Wow - thanks guys.

I am getting close to thinking about sending a portfolio into some sports agencies - but I don't think I am quite there yet. Maybe another season.
