Does anybody here happen to have a Slinger Shoulder Bag, and maybe a Digital Rebel w/ Battery Grip.
I just order the Slinger, and now I'm starting to wonder if it's wide enough for my Rebel w/ Battery Grip.

Yes it will fit. Here is a pic with 10D and grip.

Chris1le,
Thanks for that.
I had done a search and saw that picture, which made me go ahead and order it.
But then I came across this guy's blog (http://www.toddwalker.net/dpblog.htm), and he ended up returning his slinger because the 10D w/ Grip wouldnt fit properly.
"Well I got the Slinger bag from Adorama last week and it unfortunately wasn't big enough. My 10D with accessory grip was too wide to fit comfortably and the camera with the 70-200 lens on it was too big as well. I've sent it back and asked that they exchange it for a Lowepro Nova 4"

I just got a Slinger bag (I wish B&H carried them, they ship faster than Adorama does) for my wife so she can carry the D30 with 70-200 4.0L lens and a few other things. It seems to fit just fine. It's a nice back and does fit nicely when the strap is over the shoulder.

Thanks for the info mjordan :)
Can you put any other lenses in there as well along with what you mentioned?

Right now she has the D30 with the 28-105 USM lens on and the 70-200 4.0L beside it, in the bag. She has several batteries, the CF card case with 4 CF cards in it and several other things. There is still room in the side pockets for some other stuff. I think with the 28-105 USM on the D30, that leaves enough room underneath the camera to put a 85mm 1.8 lens or a flash.
She likes the back as it fits real nice with the strap over one shoulder. It also has the snap catches (plastic squeeze type) on the front and at both sides of the lid. It also has velcro all over the place so you can leave the snaps undone but the lid will still stay secure. I also bought one of the little optional bags and a couple of the D ring snaps but I'll probably use this on my Domke bag to carry CF cards or put used batteries in.
It's a nice bag and seems to be well built. Next week end we have a 3 days shoot at a working dog camp, so it will get a work out in carrying things.

Thanks for the info.
I just changed my order to the Velocity 9 because I figured the slinger might be too small.
Oh well, I'm sure they are both great.

I like the depth of the Slinger (maybe another inch deeper would be good). If it was about 6 inches wider then I'd probably replace the Domke F3x that I use as my normal walk around bag when I don't need the Domke F2 (which I use to carry my EOS 3 system in). One of these days I hope to make it to a camera show where all the major camera bag companies are at so I can do some serious comparing. I need a bigger bag, but with all the equipment I carry now, bigger is not better, since I couldn't go all day lugging it around if I could put it all in one bag. But I do need something that I can put my major components in and I just can't tell what will work from pictures on the web.

I hear ya. It's so much better to see the bags first hand, something that is a luxury in these parts. The same can be said for lenses too around here.
