I was going through images, and this one struck me though it hadn't the first time...
I think the light spot on the left is interesting - but the green behind the head doesn't do anything for me.

Great shot of the hawk but, as you elude to, the background doesn't add to it. Maybe you could snip the hawk out of there and put him on an appropriate background.

Well that's just fantastic!
The green spot doesn't bother me at all.. I find the whole background pleasing.. but could you do a graduated selection of the darker part of the green and desaturate untill it was closer to the rest?

Hi Scottes,
The background doesn't bother me at all (if i can see it correctly). However, the size of the photo (in CM's/inches) is not comfortable. Can you resize it please.
Thanks

Great pic! I wish I knew where to set up for hawk pics. We had them where we used to live, but the damned things never roosted in the open where I could get a pic...always in the branches, among the leaves.

i think it looks good Scott. what exactly was the background anyway? you shot this through a fence? it was blurred out nicely.

I love it.
Indeed it's a shame you can see the fence on the background but it's blurred enough nog to bother me.

This is a great shot. I feel differently from you, though, I think the green behind the head is good, but I don't like the spot on the left as much. I love the way its looking at us.
