Hi all,

I recently picked up a 40d and was looking into a remote shutter release. Then I started thinking about one with an intervalometer, etc. (i.e. the canon tc-80n3). I've found plenty of info about other 3rd party products but not these. I'm not to concerned about the technology so much because it's basically a switch with timing circuitry. I'm more concerned about the connector and the pins. Anyone have any experience with any of these? Are they junk? Just wondering if the savings would be worth it. Thanks.

I will just say this, I did buy the cheap filters/remotes/lenses... and each time I did it I was sorry after a while. Buy once, buy the best and save. I got my self the 130 USD Canon TC-80N3 and I't well worth the $$$. Peace out.

I, like a lot of members here have a version of the Audit remote, which works exceptionaly well.
Iv used the Canon one as well, personaly I think the build quality difference between the two is minnor, and I actualy prefer the button on the Audit one. Its less prone to getting stuck in the locked open position.
