As I've learned from another topic, the M42 lens thread from russian lenses can be nicely converted to fit EOS bayonett, so I was wondering, what other lens can be fitted as well? This would of course be inparticularly interesting for some exotic fast lens from other manufacturers, fisheyes and perhaps super telephotos.

You're in luck big time!Nikon and old screw thread -M42-are the main ones for which it is real easy to get sensibly priced adapters-just check ebay.
Less common but very desirable ones are Leica R lenses (and certain ziess lenses (contax mount?) but the only adapters i've seen so far are made by top of the range makers who charge an arm and a leg   us$250 for a small peice of metal??Get a life fellas!!
Olympus adapters are also available but may be hard to find
The K mount is unusable simply because there are several small parts in the way so it isn't worth modifying every lens THEN also making an adapter -pity
Ones that definitely CAN'T be used are manual focus canon and minolta becuase they need to sit closer to the camera than the EOS mount allows..
All in all that's not too bad :D
Nikon,Leica and screw mount have some very desirable manual focus lenses that are far cheaper than EOS alternatives
*and a small commen on those cheapo optical adapters
-any lens can be pretty much adapted to any body if there is an optical adapter available-but this is the last (hopefully) you will ever hear of them becuase they are terrible   Why go to the effort of adapting a good lens to your camera if the adapter makes the image crap?

I bought my Zenitar from Kabacan, who also sells adapters. Service was as advertised (not quick but on time and packed well) and the lens is good.
It's an alternative to RuGift.
