Look closely at tile A and B. They seem to be different shades of gray. They are actually the same exact shade. Don't believe it? Try opening up the image in Paint or another image editor and put the 2 tiles side by side.

it's verified.... the 2 colors are the same. (first picture)

Second one... I scrollled up and down until tears came out of my eyes. It moves though !

So the two tiles in the top pic are the same shade of grey.

Can anyone have a stab at explaining why because I have to admit that it baffles the hell out of me.

the one on top is surrounded by white ones, and the other tile (b) is surrounded by dark ones (and being in the shaddow of the green object makes those dark ones even darker).
