Really cool full moon tonight. The only lens I could use was my 70-200 4 IS and I'm not very good at it, lol. My tripod is screwed up, so I couldn't use one (didn't have a ring anyway). I had to change the levels a little to get more detail in pp. Nothing spectacular, obviously, just trying something new. Too bad my other pics weren't exposed properly... it would give you a feel for how huge the thing looked tonight.

I noticed too, it was really red over this side of the world too which was interesting. I'm stuck in with study (well POTN at the moment) so didnt even try to get any shots. Good stuff to everyone who did!

I took a similar one myself a couple of nights ago.
I was wondering if it would be better to try and get a shot earlier in the night when the sky isnt so black, that way the contrast between the moon and the sky would be as high. not sure if that would help tho.
