Well, I'm not going to say what it is, but it might be camera related. Or, it might not. I'll leave that up to your imagination....

I voted no. If you have to post it here looking for everyone else's approval then you most likely shouldn't buy it.
Sorry to be a party pooper.

Its a lot more than this decision will cost me......
Initially, anyway. Sometimes, it can be expensive in the long run.

Around here, doing it never involves money
And if it does, it will be way more expensive in the long run

This topic is way wrong :)

Jemmind, if you're thinking about the it that I think you're thinking about, then that it could land you in jail.

If that's it, then its the wrong it.

My it is legal.

I suspect not too many people will give advice without having a better idea of what the decision involves.

Not to worry, G2, the decision was made before the post. Its Saturday night, I'm at home, and just having a little internet fun.

Actually, I just do what Belmondo tells me......

Better to have loved and lost than never to have loved.

Tom,
I read this on someone's signature line today. I don't know if it was here or Fred Miranda........went something like this.

It is the journey through life that counts, not the destination. The destination is the same for all of us.

Cheers,
Rob

P.S. Guess you know how I voted

I know the questions was ...should YOU send me your best "L" lens.

So I HAD to vote YES!!!!

No just a lens! And the deal is done - it should be here in a few days!

I was really wondering where this thread might turn, but it seems that only one person decided that it was something other than photographic gear. My reputation precedes me....

I've ordered my fourth prime (don't tell CoolToolGuy as we had quite an interesting prime-vs-zoom discussion some time back and I sided vigorously with the zooms). Anyway, its not just any prime, its a 135 mm f/2.0L prime!

I'm not sure if I need it or not, but considering the resale value on these lenses, its worth a try. I suspect that this year's indoor volleyball season will produce a fine crop of images.

The Mk II will have to wait a couple of years - way out of my price range (of course, if I quit buying lenses, I'd probably have some money for that body). The 10D really performs well for me in most respects, so until I find it inadequate, I'm going to keep shooting with it.

I'm not sure if I need it or not,Whoa :!: Food, Water, Shelter and "L" Primes are the necessary items to survive
