what do you think? The dark band at the top spoils it a bit for me.

Very nice shot. I don't have a prob with the band -- in fact I like it although it may affect the balance a bit.
The light is wonderful.
I am not as sure about the composition. The flow. The dynamic. But a mood is there. A quiet, end of day, magic hour reflective mood.

Looks good to me Phil although personally i would have got rid of the band, i feel my eyes drawing to it and not the top of the corn. Personal choice though. Lovely golden light though

I did not notice the band untill I read the text..
My eyes went straight to the stalk on the right hand side. the tallest one.
This is a very pleasing pic. 8)
I'm a little concerned about the lack of sharpness on the "pods" themselves.. although I am not sure of this is a decision,. a result of the size reduction.. or what.

CDS,
I think it's becuse I didn't sharpen the whole image - just my edge sharpen action as I didn't want to get any sharpenning noise in the background.

I have to agree with CDS about the band. It wasn't so apperent until you mentioned it. Then again, I had to scroll the page to view the entire image. Please post a smaller image. :)
