View Full Version : Same Scene - 7 Hours Apart

This first shot was taken at midnight. It was a 30" exposure at f/2.8 at ISO100. Shot with a Sigma 15mm fisheye

You can see quite a few stars, but this realitively short exposure kept them from trailing

Then this next shot was shot the next morning as the sun was coming up. Only difference was I shot towards the shoreline instead of away from it to try and capture some of the fall colors in the trees.

that first one is AMAZING. Great shot. I love how the moonlight shines directly on the stump

Thanks for the comments! It was tricky getting the settings correct, because you cant really focus on any detail and then you have to wait to see what you really get. The light fall-off from the moon can be more bright then you expect.

Thanks for all the props, dont you love how in nature photography you can make a great subject out of a washed up old tree stump!?!:D
