After Saturday's marathon Brands Hatch trip, Sunday saw me visiting a local circuit for local people...Croft.

Alongside the Northern Sports & Saloons we had Formula Palmer Audi and assorted classes from the Monoposto Racing Club, but i'll stick with the Northern Sports & Saloons for this one as there were (as always) some nice cars involved..

It's been seen on here before but i'm posting it again because it's lovely...Ex Rikaard Rydell BTCC Mondeo.

The obligatory Croft Start shot with Andrew Morrison's Seat Leon Cupra heading the pack.

That Mondeo again. I'd pay just to watch that car drive around on it's own...

TVR Tasmin. "Old Skool" indeed !

It's a weekend of nothing for me coming up and then it's a return to the Forests for the Trackrod Rally Yorkshire. I'm looking forward to a change of scene after looking at Tarmac for the last 6 months or so..

Thanks for looking, comments, as always are appreciated. *smiles*

Good pictures, the Mondeo shot is the stand out for me.
The TVR front looks rather odd what have done to it?

Did you shoot these from inside the fence?

What lens(es) were used? :)

Not sure what's been done to the TVR but they certainly never left Blackpool looking like that ;)

All (as usual) were from spectator areas.

Every one was shot with the 1DMK2N with Sigma 120-300 using a 1.4x or 2x Convertor as needed. EXIF data is intact if you have an EXIF reader installed.

Cheers everyone :)

The TVR obviously has had serious engine work, they should be a Ford V6, and that looks more like a V8 conversion to me. Its also lost its pop up headlamps, so I guess the front end is purely a lightweight 'silhouette' lift off panel rather than the more conventional structure you would normally expect to see.

I'm somewhat pleased as two of my Monoposto shots from Silverstone were used in the programme, but were not credited to me... I wasn't there, but someone sent me a copy of the programme.

It's definately a TVR, but the only thing it has in common with a Tasmin is the bodywork .

Very nice shots Geoff, and a great demonstration of what you can get at Croft if you work a little.

I'll have to go with the Martini Escort as my pick of these. I like the stance on the car, and you've captured a lovelly clean background to show it off.

Cheers,

Simon.

PS in answer to a question on another thread, yes I'll be heading off down to the Trackrod next Saturday.

Nice shot of the Mondeo, they sound very nice indeed, unforetuntly the round that come my way was missing one, had to make do with some of the ex-super tourers.

Seen the TVR before though sounds amzing, theres a silver one around in the same spec to.

It's a bit too easy that shot. As long as there's a few decent looking cars it's a no brainer, which is ideal for me :D

Good old British eccentricity eh ? ;)

Cheers chaps :)
