Focus looks like it was behind the tombstone in number one. Focus in number two is great! Powerful image.

All I had was my 5D and 50mm F1.2 and mono pod. For both I dropped the temp to 2000 and it did wonders.

actually not too keen on the colouring on the first one (looks familiar!) but the second one is spot on. Capt. Hobson would be well pleased..

About the avatars: Well I see one connection. They all seem to be from New Zealand. Must be a New Zealand photographers' cult or something. ;)

That second shot is to die for.
Jokes aside it is a very powerful well thought about photograph.
