I really like the work done here. Boy this adventure is expensive., but I am really enjoying it. Here is a exposure I took with my 70-200 F/4L hand held. Sorry it may not be up to the forums quality, but the light and the subject were awesome. Anyone one know what type of arachnid this is? What is the most popular macro lens for Canon that works well with the XTI and wont completely drain my funds?

Canon 100mm f2.8 is the most popular and is $449 from B&H. Canon60mm macro is cheaper at $369 but is an EFS lens so will only work on 300/350/400 bodies.

like Toby already stated the 100 is the most popular choice but there are other out there that will do just as good. shot came out pretty good considering what lens you were using.
