I looked over these cameras. I don't know which one to buy. I am most concerned with image quality. I have read how some feel the s200 and s330 have a soft look to it that isn't clear. Especially in low lighting. Which of these would you buy? I appreciate your help.

thanks,

The S200 and S330 have some upgrades over the older S110. So, unless you get a deal on the latter, you'll want to go with the newer models.

Does camera size matter to you? The A40 is bigger than the other two cameras, but some people find the Elphs to be too small for their hands. However, the A40 has the ability to attach extra lenses (with an adapter) and is cheaper.

This article from Imaging Resource highlights the differences between the S200 and S330. Since both are 2.1MP cameras, I suspect that they share the same image sensor. It may even be the same sensor as in the A40, in which case there shouldn't be a significant difference in quality between the three cameras.

I didn't realize that 15-1/1500 second shutter speeds are included in all of these cameras. I love that Canon's doing this. It gives the user so many more creative options than just flashing everything.

Camera size doesn't matter to me. Just image quality first. Secondly, the other features. I know there isn't a large price differential so it probably is very simular in pic quality. Any other comments would be appreciated.
Thanks Russ.

Go the A40. Good camera with optical zoom. Has manual options. Reasonable amount of Megapixels. Priced competitevly. (Not too many cameras have all these features). Have owned one for a week or so now, and am still happy.
