I critiques this photo on PhotoSig. I also email the photographer and asked him how he set up his lighting. His response is at the bottom of the pic. Can you understand what he is saying? Any help would be appreciated.

Well first of all, if you are posting nude or lingerie shots you ought to note it in the title. Because there are people like me that hit the forum from work and don't like getting surprises.
Second, ask him to reply in french then go to babblyfish.com and use the translation tool. You might get an easier to understand response since he is more likely to go into detail in his native tongue.
But do change your post title.

Whoa, BEAUTIFUL girl!!! :)
Obviously, Philippe is explaining what lighting he used: four Bowens 500 flashes (?). Then he tells you where he placed them and how each flash was set (the light output). Because of the way he describes it, the details might be a bit hard to understand - but I don't think Bablefish is really going to help you to translate Philippe's poor English to something understandable...
I'm not an expert in working with studio flash, I have a little experience from a course I did. With studio flashes, you usually set the camera to a certain shutter speed (for example 1/60s) and you set the output (amount of light) on each flash. He placed the flashes in such a way that the light meter showed you need f/8 for two of the flashes and f/11 for the other two. So the first two flashes gave half as much light (1 stop less) than the other two.
Hope that helps...
