I understand that the LS 342 is design for D30, would it works on D60?
What is the difference between a D30 image and a D60 image from LS342 prespective?

Phyllam,
LS342 does NOT work on D60 images. I tried it; the colours are not the same.

Thank you, do you think you can suggest an alternative workflow for RAW image?
Should I just use Can SW to convert to 16 bit linear image.
Then when loading to PS use a D60 ICC profile to conver to Adobe RGB workspace?
Is this the correct procedure?
What's next?

I would use BreezeBrowser rather than the Canon software.

Yes, there are several profiles for the D60 about. Not having one :( , I can't comment on how good they are.

If you mean, "what's next in the workflow?", it would depend a little on which profile you used. Some profiles will just convert the image and leave you to do sharpening and other edits. I would imagine that Fred Miranda's offering for the D60 is similar to the D30 in that it includes sharpening and colour adjustment.
If it were me, I would also be inclined to see, if I could modify LS342 to work with the D60. :)

All this kind of surprises me.
I've been using LS342 since day one with my D60. Since this is my first experience with either the D60 or LS342, I just thought that was the thing to do.
I've also been pleased with the results, for the most part. The first time I noticed anything odd about the colors was the very last photo I ran through it. On that one, the colors seemed a little off. I was just running that image through for the heck of it and not doing anything with it when I was done, so I didn't give it much thought.
Are there particular times when it works and other times when it doesn't?
Thanks

I'm having trouble tracking down a D60 ICC - have you got any clues or pointers to where I can try next please Roger ?

Fred Miranda has one for use with linear files: http://www.fredmiranda.com/D60_LPbatch/index.html
And there's this mob: http://www.aboutdigicam.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=305
I have tried D30 versions for both of them. They are fine; I stick with LinearSharpen because I think the sharpness of the images is better with LS.

I don't suppose you know whether Pekka is/will produce a version for the D60 ?

I recall reading a post from Pekka a while back saying that he might, if someone was prepared to send suitable test images. But I think it would be awfully hard to do it without having a D60 of your own. Pekka said he was happy with his D30 and not going to upgrade to the D60, although what happiness has got to do with it, I don't know. I'm happy with my D30, but I'd still like a D60. :)
Cheers,

I must admit, I am very happy with mine ... and I've only had it since last Friday! Thanks for the info Roger.
BTW, Pekka, if you happen to see this and want a willing guinea pig with a D60, let me know!

I can shot whatever is required with my D60. But I can't find a Q60 card, the local Kodak distributor said they do not carry those.
