I was all set to shoot some hockey Friday night, but I ended up being “voluntold” to run the score board / game clock... Oh well. I did get off a few shots, but most are from the tie braking shoot-off...

All are with the 70-200 and shot in manual mode, f/2.8 @ 1/320 - 1/400, ISO 1600, AWB. Crop, resize, levels, and USM only.

Looking good. Perhaps a tighter crop on the first two - lots of ice in front that is not adding much value; on the second shot, you might be able to catch some of the keeper's eyes.

nice shots...love the goalie's movement in #2. In #3, he better get his head up if this is a checking league

Thanks!

Even though I was stuck doing the clock, I liked the shooting position. The glass is lower and I can easily shoot over it. I'll try to recruit someone else for the clock. I can run the sin bin instead. More time to shoot that way!

Non-checking league, but you know how that goes:rolleyes:! These are High School kids!
