Couple of Springtails I hadn't seen before. Both taken at 5:1 and cropped a bit. Id'd by Frans Janssens.

Nice find Brian.Like the colors in #3 and #4. Frans Janssens ID one of my springtails the globular one, he's damn good.

I dont have any of the genus Lepidocyrtus - that one looks very colorful. I have a Bourletiella but not that species. Ta for posting.

Toby- to the naked eye the 2nd one was just light grey in colour but you could see all the colours through the lens.

It is amazing how the colors come out sometimes...I took a photo of a black butterfly, but in taking the picture, I happened to catch it at just the right angle to caputure the purple sheen of it. Nice pics Brian.
