American Wigeon

After a fairly unproductive morning and heading back to the parking lot; Dancad, Gary Fairhead & I decided to take one more look for the Wigeon.

Dan got sight of him on our way past the main pond...Thanks Dan, I'm glad I was able add this one to my list.

You really captured great detail in the plumage and the colour is superb. It's also great that you managed to capture an "expression" on this little guys face...was he talking? The fairly neutral BG with nice reflection really makes this shot work. Well done.

Nice shot with low angle and the open bill adds another nice element...Maybe a little more room on the right?

As for the room....As shot. I tried adding canvass; but I couldn't clean up the area that added more of hie tail...More to learn eh? :o

I like it. You could use the dodge tool lightly around the eye area to bring it out a bit more. A great character shot!!
