Nice series Alex and the Black and White gets most of my attention. Great looking warbler in classic pose and nice details. I haven't seen one in a few weeks so I guess they are all in your area or heading that way.

Great pose, attention to detail and colour in the black and white warbler shot. The focus is clean and crisp. I like the entire series but the warbler really got my attention. Well done.

Thanks a lot Gary :) :)... The Black and White is the first I have managed to capture... This one almost flew right into me it was so focused on bug hunting... I had to back off a couple of steps to hit focus, and fortunately it hung around long enough to get the shot off.... The birds are coming back in numbers now so I am psyched for the winter when I know most of us dread it.... I really appreciate the nice comment on this series pal.... Take care

Hi Steve :) :) Thanks for the nice comment on this series.... I'm glad you liked the shots.... The Turtlebird is a tough capture as they only stay perched in the water for a brief period before taking to flight;) ;).... I really appreciate it pal
Take care

Hi Cooper... Good to hear from you :)... Thanks for the nice comment on the Warbler shot... I had to back up to hit focus it landed so close... Gave me just enough time to frame and shoot, and it was off... I was pleased to see the result as well... No second chance with this one... This is the first I have had the opportunity to get a good shot of, as the few I have seen always seem to be flitting around to quickly or are buried in the branches.... I appreciate the view, and nice comment on the series.... Thanks again :) Take care

Hey Gary :) :) Thanks bro...I have been off the net for a couple of days... Good to hear from ya... Glad you liked this series. The birds are coming back in big numbers again so it looks like winter will be productive again this year.... I hope so.... The MKII is making easier work of it, and I look forward to putting it through the paces on action shots..... Take care Gary.... Thanks again....

Very nice series Alex. There's 3 or 4 birds in there I've never heard of, but they are all nice, especially the Black and White Warble. ;)

Hey Mitch :) :) Thanks buddy... We do have some unusual birds down here.... The locals named them.... I know they look very similar, in fact some would say exactly like some insects, amphibians, and reptiles that are found in the US, but hey who am I to argue?? I would rather post them here with my pals than move them to a forum where no one looks ;) ;)... I hope you are doing well brother... I may be ready to trade you my 1D MKI for your Bigma... As much as I love it, I haven't been using it since getting the MKII. However it performs every bit as well.... Take care Mitch....

Great series Alex The Black & White Warbler is excellent but I keep going back to the Flycatcher.... its positioning against the radiant looking BG makes it a terrific shot.

Thanks a lot Scott :) Your comments mean a lot to me.... I'm glad you noticed the streams of light in back of the Flycatcher... It was one of the things that appealed to me too... I have another horizontal shot with a slightly different pose that shows the beams even better.... I really appreciate the feedback on this series pal.... Take care

Love 'em all Alex.

Think the black and white just edges it for me. Then again, the turtlebird is damned good too.

Great job of capturing that BW warbler - those guys are quick! Hard enough to follow in binoculars, let alone getting a decent photo.

Hi Ruth :) The Warbler was hand held :) :) The IS system works well doesn't it?? I'm glad you liked it.... The illusive Turtlebirds are always a joy to capture in the rare moments they are not flying around.... I have yet to get a decent in flight shot of one :D I'm glad you liked it too :)... Take care pal

Hi Liz :) Thank you very much .... I have tried several times to nail a good shot of the B&W Warbler, and I totally agree that they rarely sit long enough let alone in the open to allow for a decent shot.... This one was so into catching bugs that it didn't notice me standing there, and by the time it did realize that I was only a few feet away it took off... I got the one shot, and had to step back while focusing to get it quick enough.... It was actually to close to hit focus when it landed. Glad you like the shot.... I was pleased it came out alright..... Take care
