very nice shot, I'm trying to achieve the same kinda look with my urban shots, can you give me a few tips on how to get this style of picture?

its like desaturated but high contrast, strong highlights etc...

Thanks for looking and for the kind comments all! This was just a grab shot. When I saw this scene, I double parked my car, ran across the street and managed to take a couple of shots when a traffic cop came. I had to scurry back to my car and drive off. I biked to this same spot the next day to take more photos and they fixed the damn thing!

Yesterday I passed by again and the yellow light housing was off kilter, apparently something hit it again. It looks like a dangerous place for a light post, I'm not sure if the culprits are turnin g trucks or drunk drivers. Maybe both.

PP is the usual desat, D&B, Color Burn and Multiply blending modes.
