Hi everyone. Got a couple of shots today at the CORR races in San Diego. Here are a couple. Was lucky enough to be pointed in the right direction when this truck endo-ed off the big jump. The driver walked away from this crash. There was plenty of action going on but the fence sure got in the way trying to get good photos. Got some decent panning shots but they were all through the fence :(

Movement stopped OK. but the background?????
You need to open up more to get it out of focus plus try panning.

I was there too. But I was too close for my 100-400 and I was shooting some panning shots, so my shutter was a 1/160, it's too bad but there is no way to be ready for something like this. I was 30' away from were he landed. By the way Adrian Cenni was ok, but he was out cold when he landed.

Thanks for the input Khall. Yea, guess the background is too distracting :o I thought the action would sort of counteract the busy background, but I see not having it all, pushes the photo towards the snapshot category. Will need to work on everything...


Dang Ryan! That was a little close wasn't it! That truck was catching some serious air. It was exciting for me and I wasn't even underneath it :)

Yeah that gets your heart racing. I also almost got taken out my a trophy kart.
