This fight was just tremendous, a great fight to shoot...
INSTANT CLASSIC - On a day when the focus was on all the upsets in college football, an unbeaten fighter Kelly "The Ghost" Pavlik from Youngstown, Ohio stepped into the ring against the unbeaten World Middleweight Champion Jermain Taylor and got off the canvas to stop the champ and capture the title in a classic war in front of 10,000 plus at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. Adding to the atmosphere were the fact that 5000+ of those fans made the 6.5 hour drive from Youngstown to see their hero and Pavlik was attempting to avenge an amateur defeat to Taylor which kept him out of the Olympics, while Taylor captured a bronze medal for the USA. Enjoy, comments and critiques welcome...

Great shots Muls. I can't wait for the day to come around when everyone wonders when I'm going to post some shots of a fight they know I attended. So popular.

Thanks, appreciate the comments. I thought Pavlik was close to being done in the second as well, but he held and cleared his head enough, he's a tough kid, and he can punch...
Felt good to shoot boxing again, hadnt shot it in about a month or so, which is a long stretch for me. Now I've got fights the next 3 weekends, NYC, Chicago, and then Cincinnati, OH for UFC 77 which I'm looking forward to, I enjoy covering UFC alot...

Thanks. Linda the fight was great, very electric in the building...I'm glad I got the first shot, (espn.com picked it up) because I couldnt get a single thing on the KO, Pavlik's back blocked me out. The second shot moved well immediately after the fight to a couple of places

Ed, the LA times didn't pick up the image from your service but rather presswire.

Muls, question. When you look at your photo line, why do they seem to go backwards from last shots to first shots? Or is that just the way you worked it out?

Ironbelle,
Correct, I shoot for US Presswire as well as my own service. They have a much larger reach than I do, but we are growing. The ESPN one was picked from Presswire a well, although my service has a deal with them as well. Just depends on which photo editor searches out a shot and where they look first...
Superdiver, they are uploaded on sportsshooter in no particular order, usually the first couple shots are the ones I like the best, then I just upload from there.
A larger take in order is posted here:
