Another bird I can't ID but I believe all those black things on the water are Brine Flies. Fascinating place, that's for sure. I wish we had more time to investigate.

As always, comments and suggestions are appreciated...

Wow look at all those flies... btw, this is an American Avocet in non breeding plummage, nice shot!:)

An Avocet - thanks. The flies were really quite amazing too. They wouldn't land on you and moved forward on the shore in waves as you walked thru them.
