Powerboats P1 World Championship in Portimão - Algarve - Portugal

Well, the P1 race was a disappointment... The Thundercats race on the other hand was a great show!! Amazing little boats!! On Saturday the 29th the P1 race was held very far away, even with my 500mm lens the boats looked like small fly's... On Sunday the 30th it was supposed to be held the 12th and last P1 race of the championship, but due to bad weather conditions it was canceled... Since i could not afford the 350€ (about $500 US) asked (per person and per race) to be on a boat near the race or the 2000€ (about $2900 US) to be on a helicopter near the race i didn't get any good P1 race photos.

#13 - This is the best i got @ 500mm on Saturday's race from a powerboat going around the nearest point to where i was (witch was the furthest point from land before getting my feet wet on the marina's pier)

Awesome shots, Your thundercats are called SLT's here in Michigam alway a trip to watch those nuts race. Good job on the pictures, the first couple made me think you were watching a helicopter race!
