Hello Pekka:

I am new to this forum and I am sure this ? may have been asked and answered.

I would like to register in the gallery to display my pictures and also sell them. I would like to know:

1) How do you copy right your pictures?

2) What resolution you use to display, 5X7 or small?

3) Can anyone will be able to copy it and print it without paying the owner?

Are there any other sites where I can accomplish above goals?

I am retired and would like to earn if I can selling my pictures.

Also, if some one wants to buy picture (s) how to collect the payment etc.
How much does it cost to have your own website? Is it easy to create your website with no experience?

I would appreciate if you advise me on these questions.

Thanks.

I know You directed Your questions to Pekka but I thought I would answer those that I can answer.

If You mean this gallery: http://www.photography-on-the.net/gallerydatabase/

then it is just a link to Your own website where You display Your own photos. You keep all rights and it is Your own responsibility to protect Your photos from unauthorized use.

The easiest way to get payment for photos is probably Paypal.

The cost of running a website depends on which provider You choose, You can get free hosts (in my opinion avoid that as I think You get what You pay for) and hosts that are alot more expensive.

To create Your own website it is best with some experience.

As for sites where You can sell photos, I think I have seen a few but have no experience with them.
