View Full Version : Red Shoulder Hawk burst w/ 40D

These are a few of about a 10 shot burst of this guy as he jumped from a light pole. I was about 50' away using a 300 f/4 with tcon on the 40D. All but one shot were in focus. I was impressed by AI Servo on this one....
The more I use and get familiar with this camera, the more I love it.

It requires more skill than technology to get shots like these Mike....I know because I have a 40D and don't get results like yours :) Now I have to go buy a 300 f/4 (good job I already have the TC ):) :)

I'm still clueless when it comes to raptors. Ducks? Can identify them on the wing from hundreds of yards....raptros? I'm still a puppy:oops:

and sorry about the ramble on.
and just wot i wanted after reading so much on the 40d that my eyes a bleeding and i wont even go to brain swelling when taking in so much info from the net .
people are already saying the 30d is better for birds in flight ?
