i have to send a cd full of pics to friends/ family. anyone know of a simple viewer they can use to view the pics as a slide show where the pics are shown correctly. Last time I sent them, they would open up the pic and it would be huge. They would have to scroll across the pic to see everything. I m looking for a slide show that shows the whol pic on the screen.

I have win xp and it has a ok slide show feature. Any one know if this is present in win 98?

any help is appreciated.

Irfanview is great for creating autorun slideshows on CD-R. You burn a copy of the software onto the CD (it's a small program) so the person to whom you give a disc just pops it into his or her computer's CD-ROM drive and the slideshow begins. Image size is adjusted automatically and images appear full-screen. And, it's free!

You have to do a small amount of text editing, and you need CD-burning software. The "help" file has all of the info you need to create the slideshow.

This is the link to their US web site:

Of course, as an easy alternative, your friends/family can just download the Irfanview software to their computers and use it to open up a CD full of images you send them... My in-laws are not computer savvy, so the autorun slideshows are a big hit.
