Newbie here, looking for some advice. Thanks in advance.
I was advised that I could use a Sunpak 622 with my Rebel, so I purchased one from Ebay. I have had a couple great nights out with it at the racetrack, but have been having problems with it firing, now to the point that it wont fire at all. I have a Wein Safe Sync on for a hot shoe adaptor. Everything seems to work fine on the Sunpak, but it refuses to fire now. I tried a 550 Speedlite on Sunday night at the track, and everything worked fine with the Canon equipment, but ti lacks the power to send enough light out to consistently get good night shots, like the Sunpak. I am looking for some suggestions, or recommendations. Wish I had found this site several months ago.
Rebel is 9 months old, Sunpak is 1 month old. Both were bought new.

The speedlite subject is closer than the Sunpak subject, but there is considerable light difference. I think.
I am shooting with a standard Rebel kit lens lens, which is very basic, IMHO, and a Canon Ultrasonic EF 55-200. Maunual focus, because the autofocus is to slow with this camera., Again, IMHO.
Any ideas or tips?
Thanks
