S200 multiple pictures quickly?

I've had my S200 for a couple of weeks now and still i have much to learn about taking photos.) I was wondering if it's possible to take multiple photos quickly on a canon elph. Does the camera have to auto focus everytime, pressing the button halfway and waiting? I'm hoping it's just a quick setting to change but i dont know any better.

The bottom arrow key cycles between single, continuous, and timer modes. I read that on a review site, so it must be in your manual.

Something that the manual might not say: appararently the continuous mode cycles faster if you turn off the LCD.
