Zoombrowser 2.0 would no longer work with XP Prof so I upgraded (from net) to Zoombrowser 4.2. Now I can download from the G1 but can't see how to convert the RAW images! Canon website says you can't convert these in version4.2. What's a guy to do?

Hi Iain
I have Zoombrowzer Ex 4.0. Version 4.0.0.105. My platform is XP Home Editiion.
I have a G3 and I can download RAW into Zoombrowser. I then work with the images in Photoshop.
I could let you have a copy if that would help.

Are links to download the raw image converter and file viewer utility. I don't know how these compare with ZB 2.0, but they should allow you to do conversions.
I haven't used them for a couple of months, but as I recall, the file viewer utility has the ability to select multiple pictures and convert them, but I don't recall whether it depends on the raw image converter, or if does raw conversion separate from the raw image converter.

Canon's RawImageConverter2 can convert batches as a stand-alone app. Works quite well for basic needs. In version 2 you can even rotate batches during conversion--maybe this was possible in the older version, but it's a great feature, imho.
You might also check BreezeBrowser at www.breezesys.com.

Saved the day! Have now installed Canon Raw Converter 2. Thanks to all for responding. I will check out Breezebrowser for its features. Sounds as though it is favoured over Zoombrowser. Thanks again.
