Hi Folks,
Just wondering if any of you folks out there that own the sigma 70-200 f/2.8 use it for sports, in particular, volleyball. My main question is can the AF keep up with the fast paced action? Also, for those that have used both, is the Canon 70-200's AF faster than the Sigma's?

Anyone using the sigma 70-200 for Vball?

I've used it for hockey, and it's excellent. Focus speed, accuracy, and sharpness were all excellent (with a 1DmkII), and easily on par with the 70-200 f/2.8L that I own now.

I've owned the Canon 2.8L IS and now own the Sigma.
Both as good as each other if you don't need IS.
They are Great, smashing, super :D

Thanks for the replies, everyone. I have a Vball game to shoot tonight so I'll be putting the Sigma 70-200 to the test.
