I did some experimenting with the PP on this shot of a street near the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, RI. I was trying for a desaturated Orton-type effect. Thoughts, comments, criticism? Thanks for looking!

Nice shot, however when i look at the top half of the picture it hurts my eyes, due to the blur etc....maybe its just me?

I like the color a lot but it looks like you may have softened it just a bit too much. scale that back a afuzz and I think you got it.

Thanks for the feedback everyone.

I followed the tutorial in this thread-http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=385032
and also boosted contrast, added a b&w layer and cut down the opacity on it, and did some dodging and burning here and there.

Nice PP work, it gives the photo an ethereal air. I think this would be outstanding if there were a person walking down then sidewalk. You know me, always looking for a human element. Good work nonetheless.
