Question about dRebel and RAW format, don't see option

When I go into my menu to check RAW format, I see the different sizes, but don't see RAW listed. So I select the Large at the top. Should RAW be listed on this menu?

Some shooting modes allow RAW, and some don't.

Take a survey of the different modes and find which ones do put RAW on the menu.

RAW format will only work in the "creative" zone, eg anything from the "P" round to "A-Dep" (or "M").

anything with an icon rather than a letter or two is in the automatic zone and won't shoot RAW. you can set a different file size for each of these two "zones". I like to shoot RAW almost exclusively now, but whenever any of my friends manage to persuade me to let them "have a go" on my camera I can flick it into AUTO where each photo only takes up half a MB instead of 6-7 :D
