Thanks Joan and MJ for the comments :)

Btw It might not be obvious but because the shoulder of the water barrel is curved it means I can get a nearly side on shot with the MPE-65 whereas normally you'd be tipping the lens up at an angle to get anything in focus at around 4:1-5:1.
MJ during the main macro season I was shooting about 50:50 with my 105mm and MPE-65 but now it's about 90 :10 in favour of the MPE-65.

Hiya Brian,

Excellent shots, I noticed a lot of these Snails on the Headstones in the Churchyard of late but mostly on the Slate ones.

BTW loved the Pseudo Scorpion

Cheers for now

2 mm? Looks like his shell is a 4 bedroom...

He could nearly drown in a dewdrop. Great capture Brian.

:D

Well, there's the proof. Either that, or he was very thirsty...

Seen a lot of these small snails on nettle leaves recently. I'm assuming it's a safe daytime resting place as I doubt a nettle leaf would support a bird.
