My budget doesn't allow me to stretch for my own colorimeter yet.
If you have one, please PM me. I would be willing to give a reasonable service or monetary value for borrowing it. I'll also give you a deposit, so that you don't have to worry.
Just seems to me that this is not one of those tools you use every day.

You might have better luck if you re registered with a different name.
"Hey Honey, Doc Frankenstein's coming over to borrow the colorimeter. OK?"

I have been after a Spyder too. I have finally decided that I am just going to have to buy one. Too bad you can't rent one some place for like a day or two.
Maybe I will rent mine over the net. :P

The Spyder with PhotoCal now sells for less than $150 USD everywhere. As far as photo equipment goes, it's fairly inexpensive. I calibrate my monitor and laptop once a month.

You know what. I am so tired of people with either all the money or all the equipment in the world telling me how cheap stuff is. I know how much it is. I just don't have an extra $150 laying around.
You know there are alot of people here that aren't pro's or semi-pro's with a photography habit that is self sustaining. I have bills and responsibilities that (as much as I wish they didn't) come before my camera. So maybe to me or a student or someone similar you comment might seem rude and presumptuous.
If they are so cheap then why don't you go buy a few and donate them to a school? Or is that not in your budget?

Yes we are all different - different incomes - different styles - different differences. I get insanely jealous at the low cost of items west-side of the pond.
But that's one of the things that makes this forum what it is.
